Computer problems and surgery

Today was a bad day at work. We began the day with no phone system or computer system. We sat at our desks trying to find things to do that didn't involve our computers for over half of the day. Finally around lunch time we were lucky and got everything back working. I hate days like that.

Also, my Mother in law had surgery today. This is her 4th!! hip surgery. I just recently heard that she was out of it and in her room. We aren't going to visit tonight, but I am sure we will head up there tomorrow. She has a long road ahead of her and I really feel for her.

Muddy Saturday Night

Last night, and way up in the early morning hours of today Hubby and I went and played in the mud. We haven't done that before, or atleast I haven't been able to go with him when he does it. It was so much fun and it was a muddy mucky mess, but oh so fun!

I am sure the owners of the carwash are not our biggest fans, but we did clean up the mess before leaving. It was much worse than this, but some of it came off while we were driving down the road.

Happiness!

I hope that everyone had a very Merry Christmas!

Today was back to work for me and Hubby. He is still at work now. He is suppose to be off next week on vacation, so I think he isn't too upset about having to work today.

Yesterday was a busy day for us. We spent the morning having breakfast with my parents. They cooked a huge breakfast as usual and we enjoyed ourselves. When we left there, we headed to Hubby's parents house for their Christmas get-together. We had a great time there too.

We were blessed with several gifts this year, but the best part of the whole day was being able to spend the time with my Husband. I can promise that I will never take a single second that I have with him for granted.....I have something I want to share with you all...

This past week, my friend from work showed me a blog. It was a lady who has a terminal illness and her doctor has told her that their is nothing they can do. She is now on hospice and she is very young. She was sent home to prepare to die and she has two babies at home. She uses the blog to talk about her daily life and I was in tears reading it. I am going to see if I can possibly find it to share with those of you who are interested.

I don't know how you would ever be strong enough to do something like that, I can't imagine!

Here is the link to her blog, prepare to cry! They have updated it and sadly.....

Christmas Eve

Happy Christmas Eve!!

I had to work for a few hours this morning and then I had to run out to town to buy one last gift for my mom.

Once I got home, I began my day of baking cookies. I can't tell you how many I made, but I have tons to take to my inlaws get together tomorrow. Recently Hubby and I have been buying the silicone bake ware, the last piece we added to the collection was the cookie sheet. It is the neatest thing and bakes the cookies perfectly. Here is a picture of one of them. We have the bundt pan, and cup cake cups too.

Here are some of the finished product, they taste even better than they look!

I could not blog today without sharing pictures of my little elf with you. While I was cooking, she was balled up in a little ball on the couch. I snuck to take a picture and....
.....she caught me and was not amused!

Finishing my Shopping

After FINALLY getting my lovely Hubby to give me a list of things he wants, I am off to finish my shopping today. I am sure I will be in the store along with everyone else in the world doing that same thing. He is going to be so easy to shop for and its going to be so much fun! This is the first year we are buying for each other and surprising each other. Usually we pick out together what we want. I think this will be much more fun!

8 Years

This past Tuesday was a special day for Tim and I. It was the 8 year anniversary of the day that he proposed to me. Luckily, he was off work so we decided to make the most of it and go back to the spot that he asked me to marry him.

We started our evening by having dinner at The Chop house and shopping for a few Christmas gifts at Bass Pro.

The next stop was the space needle, where he proposed to me. It had changed a little and seemed to be a little run down but I can remember that night as clearly as anything. It was very special that we could both be back in that same spot and celebrate the life we have together.

I took a few pictures of the view, check them out.

When we came down out of the space needle, I wanted to play some skee ball, I love that game!! While I was playing, Tim sat down to one of the quarter slots and hit it big. He won tons of tickets. I won a few from my game, too. Instead of turning them in for ourselves we found this little boy who was trying to get a big prize. He was really happy and thanked Tim a bunch and shook his hand. :)

Almost Done

Today I was out and about with Emily. We started our day with lunch at a local mexican restaurant. It was sooo good! I think we could have only had the chips and salsa and been just as happy but we ate until we were stuffed. We finished up a little of our shopping and then I headed to my parents to help my mom make cookies. Sadly, I left my camera at home and I didn't get any pictures. Oh well, I am sure we will do it again soon because we both had a great time. Now...on to what my blog post was about.....

Proudly, I can stay that I am almost done with my Christmas Shopping.

Hubby's Mamaw
Hubby's Nana
Hubby's Mom
Hubby's Dad
My Mom
My Dad
The ladies at work
Amy - my lovely Sister In Law
Lincoln - Em's beautiful baby boy

I managed to buy several things between shopping with my MIL and with my bestest Emily today. For most of the ones remaining I know what I am buying them, but have to wait to go shopping with Hubby on Tuesday to pick them out so he can help.

Tim's Christmas Party

Last night was Hubby's Christmas party. The company that he works for did not have one this year, so his boss had one at his house for his employee's. It was a great party.

The theme of the party was ugly sweater, but most of us didn't dress up. I didn't have one, and Hubby wouldn't wear his even if he had one. Not that many people came, but the ones that did had a great time. I enjoyed it myself. I didn't know them when I went, but I felt like I belonged two seconds after walking in the door. Each time someone new would arrive, Hubby's boss would introduce us and he would remember our names every single time. I was even forgetting them, but he didn't not once!

The winner of the sweater contest was a guy that I had met before. When he arrived, he told us the story of how he ended up with this particular shirt. He called his mother and told her to get up in the attic and find the ugliest sweater she could find. It was poinsettias outlined in glitter and smelled of moth balls and Hugo cologne. His wife said it was even hard to ride in the car because he smelled so strongly of moth balls. The prize he won was a beautiful potted poinsettia, and I don't think it could have been more perfect. It matched his 'lovely' sweater.

I opted not to attend my work Christmas party this year. I find it hard to socialize with the people I work with when I have to, so I decided I wouldn't when I didn't have to. Mean aren't I!

Are you having a party this year?

Christmas Shopping

I am off to Christmas shop this morning with my Mother in Law. We go every year about this time. She helps me pick out a few gifts for Tim's family that I have a hard time buying for. On my list today is my Father in Law, my parents, Tim's grandmother's, and then if I find something for Tim then I will get that too.

Are you finished with your shopping?

Starting New

Since I am starting new, I thought I would just go from this point on and not bore you all with the details of the past weeks. I am going to tell you what is currently going on with me and my family.
Our Georgia House
Woohoo! I am super excited to say that we have a contract on our house. The offer was pretty good, and we knew we couldn't pass up that chance. If everything goes as planned, January 16th the house will no longer be ours and it will have a proud new owner. Keep your fingers crossed!

Our Pets
Currently we have a sick little baby. Last night while running and jumping like usual she hurt her back. She does this sometimes, and the next day she is afraid to jump. The vet told us this would happen with dogs with long backs like hers. She has long legs, but she is the tiniest little thing. She is much smaller than most miniature Schnauzers. I think she was the runt, but she would probably disagree. Doesn't she look so pitiful!

Our other baby, BoBo, now have a new 'fishy' home. He was getting to big for his little tank so he graduated to the bigger tank we had waiting for him. He is in heaven! He can swim and swim and not worry about running into things. Look over his missing scales, he was so big in that little tank he was constantly beating himself up! He is looking better, and seems to really like the new home.

Tim's new job
Some of you already knew, and some of you didn't so I will fill you all in so you will understand. In October, the company that he works for made all of the employee's reapply for their jobs. Some of the people, including my husbands stepdad have been there for 30+years. They were able to bid on 6 jobs, and they interviewed them all. I am happy to say that Tim has a new job and a better paying job than he had before. He won't have to work as hard and he will still have a company car. That was our biggest worry because he has a gas hog of a truck that we wouldn't be able to afford him to drive daily.

My Job
Work is going good. We are not as busy as I would like to be, but I hope that changes soon. Drama is still there but I guess that is everywhere you go. Some people thrive on making other people's lives horrible, and I will never understand that. Some people let their positions go to their heads, and forget that at one time they were in the same place you are. Oh well, I guess I should just be thankful to have a job huh!

Before I forget, when I deleted the other blog I have lost several of the links to the blogs I love. If your name and link isn't on the side please let me know because I miss you and want to keep in touch.

Thanks!

Thanks for checking out the new blog. Lets hope nothing goes wrong here, I am so tired of moving and creating things all over again. Now, read on!
