Our Beloved Fishy

Our Fishy went to fishy heaven today. We knew it was coming because he wouldn't eat and only wanted to stay at the top of the tank or lay on the bottom. That isn't unusual for him because he was an oscar, and they are a lazy fish (sometimes!) but he wasn't his normal self. I will miss him.

Job Security

On Friday, my boss called me and another co-worker into his office. He was letting us know that our warehouse had been nominated for and won Supplier of the Year for John Deere. This is major good news for us. Not only does that mean that we will get an award, that means that our warehouse is safe and secure for atleast another year. That is by far the greatest news that I could get considering we are trying to pay off our bills and get our own home this year.

Congrats to us! This is major because out of all the warehouses that John Deere uses, we won!

Friday's Fifteen Facts

I am going to start something new, and you can feel free to join in with me. I am going to use Friday as a day to name 15 things about random topics or things going on in my life. I sometimes find it hard to come up with things to blog about so this will help me.

This week, I am going to name 15 random facts/thoughts about things in my life or just about me.

1. I was married at 19. Hubby was 20. Its so hard to believe that we have been married for almost 7 years. Even though sometimes things are hard, I wouldn't change a thing.

2. Friends are really important to me. I have several great friends, but only one best friend(I Love you Em!). I think its hard to find people that you can truly be yourself with and be open and honest with. Sometimes you will find a friend in life that is just not good for you, sometimes no matter how much you want to be friends with that person its not best for you. Then sometimes you find the ones that are great friends for a while, and then you realize that they aren't at all who you thought they were.

3. I am a true southern country girl. I love wearing a t-shirt, jeans, and flip flops. I would much rather be running around barefoot than anything. Now, don't get me wrong, I love those dress up and go out days. Sometimes dressing up and going out makes you feel important.

4. I have been doing weight watchers now for two weeks and so far I have lost about 5 pounds. I am satisfied with that result, but I am finding it hard to find foods that will keep me full all day. Lunch is the hardest because we eat so early at work. By the time I get home, I could eat the entire kitchen.

5. I am a tv junkie. I have a list a mile long of shows that I love! What do you watch?
Gossip Girl, Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Desperate Housewives, 90210, Privileged, NCIS, The Mentalist, American Idol, The
Bachelor, Numbers, etc., I am sure I missed some....

6. Diet Coke is a must, and not just because it supports Hubby's job, but because I am addicted.

7. Country music is my favorite, although sometimes depressing. I would rather listen to it anyday.

8. I am a born traveler. I love to get in the car and go. I love the mountains and the beach.

9. List making is a must. If I don't have a list, I can't accomplish anything. I make lists for everything!

10. I love my name. In fact, its all over everything that at my desk at work and I will sit and write it when I am bored. Makes me sound kinda vain doesn't it?!?!

11. I am a Ford girl! Every vehicle, excluding my first has been a Ford. I am proud of my cars, and I will be very happy when they are paid for!

12. I have a horrible phobia of needles. I would rather be beaten than have to be stuck with a needle. I will do anything possible to keep from getting a shot or having blood drawn.

13. I don't think you can ever have enough purses or flip flops. I have flip flops in every color and add to my collection every summer. Purses are a must and several of them! I have boxes and boxes stored that I will never carry again. (They are the best sellers at a yard sale too!)

14. I am a perfectionist, and I have to have everything in order, straight, and perfect or I am not satisfied. I love to redecorate and move things around. Just ask the people I work with. I think at one time or another, I have sat everywhere in the office excluding very few places.

15. My favorite colors are pink and green. I like the girliness of pink, and green is just my favorite. White and Black are a close third and fourth. White is classy and black is sliming.

Too Good

Do you ever have those times that you stop and wonder.... 'Everything is going good right now, when will it all crash?' Since our house sold, everything seems to be turning in our favor and its exciting. Before long, I will have my own home again and that is the best news I could possibly get. I am taking it day by day and not getting excited, I don't want it to crash. Nope, not at all.

Catching up

We finally sold our home and I could not be happier...

Our house had been on the market for 3 years and 4months. We have had several offers, several contracts, and lots of people interested but all were unable to get the financing they needed so they all fell thru until this one. The lady that purchased it is a single mother with four (4!!) children. She is a strong woman to say the least. three of them are under 4 years old. I am sure she will love the house.

We had to take a major pay cut to get it sold, but at this point anything was better than nothing. The profit wasn't what I would have liked it to have been, but it is going to help us pay off a few things and hopefully we will be able to purchase a home here in Tn soon.

Hubby's Thumb is almost healed. We had a scare last Thursday. It busted back open and looked as if it wasn't going to heal. We bandaged and medicated so it would not get infected and luckily it is healing just fine. It is going to have a major scar, but Hubby is okay with that. He says it add character.

My mini Vacation

I recently took a mini vacation from the blog world. I didn't do it on purpose, live just gets crazy sometimes. I am going to catch you all up to date on the happenings of my life shortly. I hope you didn't leave me.

Our Sunday at the ER

Today, Hubby and I spent three hours in the ER.

Hubby had an accident with a razor blade box cutter, and gashed his thumb pretty bad. We rushed him to the ER, but nobody there was in a hurry. As soon as we got there we realized that the place was packed. The lady at the register was in no hurry and angered Hubby as he was in a lot of pain. She was more worried about a phone that was off the hook than Hubby's thumb and the blood gushing from his hand. We sat in the waiting room and waited for almost two hours. By the time we got back into the room, it was no longer bleeding but he was still hurting! She told us he had cut it to the bone so 6 stitches later we are on our way home.....Take some Aleve for the pain, and come back in 7-10 days to have the stitches removed.

Not happy with them and the service at all! Some people should not be in customer service, and that lady was one of them!

Reorganization

If you know me, you know that I am a perfectionist with a type A personality. I have to have everything just so, or I am not happy at all. I am usually very organized, but our basement was not in any way shape or form in any type of order. When we moved back to Tn in '05, we moved in with Hubby's grandmother. We have been here ever since. The only things that we unpacked were the necessary things and left the rest to sit and wait. Today, Hubby and I corrected that. We were both tired of the boxes being in the way and went thru and threw out the things that we knew we would never use. Now, happily our basement is organized, labeled, and grouped according to room/season. Everything is in the perfect place, and I am oh so happy about that.

Ah! I love being organized!
