Back to School

As you know I will be jobless as of July 3rd. I have decided to take this as my opportunity to finally do what I really want to do. I am going to go back to school in August. I have always always always wanted to be a paralegal and that is what I am going to do! I really wanted to be a lawyer but I have a horrible time talking in front of people that I don't know. I am tired of doing things that I don't enjoy and I am refusing to settle for anything less. I realized that I only live once and I am doing this for myself. My husband is very supportive and I am so very excited. I filled out the application today and now I just have to wait and see what else I need.

Weekend Update

Thanks for all the great words about my not so great news! I am not stressing it though because God has something in store for me, I just have to be positive. The atmosphere at work has changed quite a bit. Everyone has the 'who cares' attitude, and sometimes I have it too. They told us we would have to train the people that are coming in to take over...as if! I will show them what to do, but it will not be the quick and easy way. And the problem solving... forget it! They will have to figure that out on their own. It is affecting us all, some of us just have it worse. My boss is putting his house on the market soon and others are so stressed because they already have family members on unemployement. Let's just hope and pray that T has a job and The V's will be ok.

Yesterday T and I spent the day at home doing nothing. I had planned to do laundry and clean but changed my mind when I turned on the tv. I wasn't home last weekend and felt like I didn't sit down at all. So I took Saturday as my day of rest. We did manage to make bacon and pancakes for breakfast but I think that was the extent of any type of labor we did. Last night however we did venture down to my In-laws for pizza and to visit. We sat around and talked for hours! We had a great time and didn't get home and into bed until well after 1am. That doesn't work well for us old folks that seem to be in bed as early as we can.

Today, T and I are going to eat lunch with my In-laws and then head to Sam's to grocery shop and Pet Smart to buy something to put into our fish tank. Our 4 newest family members decided they were unhappy with the plants we bought them and decided to pull them up every time Hubby put them in. He got upset, pulled them out and threw them away. Now they have no place to hide and seem to be fighting quite a bit. (in case your wondering, I am referring to our four fish :)... )

Also, The V's are officially on a diet. We are going to try something new, but I can't tell you now. My MIL just called and wants us to hurry on down. Later though I promise!

Great News...

... okay so not really. I don't have great news, or even remotely good news.

As of July 3rd, I am officially jobless, unemployed, and on my way to being broke. Well, that is a little extreme but I will really be without a job and joining the ranks of the other unemployed trying to find a job. Staying at home is just not for me, so I have to find something soon. At least they were kind enough to let us know in advance.

What I've Realized....

I've realized that I have the most horrible road rage imaginable. I was on my way home, and got behind every slow car between here and work. Please stay home tomorrow you slow drivers.

I've realized that You can't make people what you want them to be. You have to accept them for who they are.

I've realized that people love to complain. Why not just be satisfied with the fact that you have a job and just move on.

I've realized that I will never be wealthy but goodness, I would sure like to be comfortable.

I've realized that I am still undecided about children, but everyone thinks that its my turn. Nope... not right now. I love kids, but I am enjoying all the freedom that comes with having friends with them instead of having my own.

I've realized that my doggy has to be the cutest, and the most loving puppy ever.

I've realized that true friends are the ones that know you better than anyone, and no matter the circumstance they like you for you.

I've realized that I have the greatest family ever. I have a rather large one on my mom's side and they are so fun to be around. Lucky me!

I've realized that when I married Hubby I inherited the best sister in law and mother in law ever! My Sister in Law will be 21(!!!) this year and I never thought this day would come. Lucky me to get to know them!

I've realized that I am addicted to Farm town on Facebook.

I've realized that I would love to know how to cook but without a cookbook, I am lost!

I've realized that no matter how long its been, I miss my big brother.

I've realized that I don't have the job that I wanted when I was younger, but I enjoy it. I work with my good friends and that makes it even better.

I've realized that knowing you have that one person you can tell things too, and KNOW they won't judge you or repeat it is a great feeling.

I've realized that the people you thought you would never be friends with when you were younger are so different when they grow up.

I've realized that the people you thought you would have in your life forever aren't always going to be there. Sad truth!

I'm Hooooome!

I finally made it back home and boy, am I tired.

We got back into town yesterday at around 5:30. We were both so tired of riding that I came home and crashed and I am sure D did too. We didn't do anything major, just rode around and gossiped. She took me to Fort Bragg and that was neat to see. I have never been on a base before, and it was cool to see the city inside a city.

We shopped, ate, shopped, and then ate some more.

Overall, we had a great time and enjoyed ourselves but I have to say there is nothing like being at home in your own bed and showering in your own shower. I was glad to be back for that.

Since I have been off work today... I have grocery shopped, started the laundry, picked up around the house and now I am off to do nothing!! Actually I am going to catch up on my tv shows that I haven't watched yet....

Road Trip

Tomorrow I am taking a little road trip with my friend D. We are headed outta state and I am sure we will have a blast. I will not be back until Sunday and probably won't blog again until Monday.

I will miss my hubby like crazy, but absence makes the heart grow fonder.

Although I am partially Irish, I do not celebrate other than the usual wearing of green and maybe a little decor. We have had our cubes at work decorated for a while now, but it came down today. We are soo tired of it.

Movie Night

Tonight is going to be movie night for The V's along with my SIL and her boyfriend JD.

We are going to watch 'Role Models'. We have the unrated version and it will probably have filthy language, I just hope its as funny as the previews look.

I am feeling icky tonight, and I can't shake it. My throat is hurting and I am coughing. There is nothing worse than having to cough when you can barely swallow.

Guess I will plop down on the couch and return sometime tomorrow.... maybe?

When something upsets you, do you let it go or do you say something about it? Are you shy or outspoken when it comes to confrontation?

I think that I am a little bit of both. I try not to let the petty things get to me, but sometimes its to hard not to.

Buggin' Me

Do you ever have one of those days when everything seems to annoy you? No matter how much you try to not let things get to you, they still do! Today is that day for me.

I am bugged to say the least, but I am not stressing it! If its meant to be it will be and if I worry or not it will not matter.

... sometimes I just wonder if I do too much and expect too much...

Miss Peach

Last week, Little Miss Peach had to go get her haircut. She was not happy with me when I arrived to pick her up until she realized I had brought E with me. She held her in her lap until we got there. She was a little shaky, but she did pretty good. She was even more excited to come home because this time I had D with me. She loves to meet new people and she LOVES to show off.

I tried to take her picture but she was not having it. Instead, you got a side view of the pretty easter bow that the doggy groomer gave her. She looks super cute and I only wish it would stay short like this.

Organized

Today while I had the chance, I color coded my folders in my file cabinet. I love for things to be in order, and I thought this way looks and works great! I love the idea of having things just like I want them, its an obsession!

(Not so) Wordless Wednesday - Boss' Birthday

Today was my boss J's 40th Birthday. In true Landair Girl style, we had to celebrate. We plotted out everything that we would do yesterday and I even had Hubby's help. We decorated with streamers, a black wreath, E made a head stone as seen in the one picture and I had hubby spray paint some flowers for me. I could not find black flowers anywhere, so that was the best option. We made her wear a big floppy hat that was black and had a white polka dot scarf on it and flowers that we stuck on to match the hideous ones we had in her cube.

The middle picture is where she changed her cake from 40 to 30... quite the comedian isn't she!

In other news, lots is going on with The V's and I just haven't had the time to blog about them. I hope to catch everyone up soon.

Run around...

Why is it that the one thing you go into a store for, they don't have. I went to several places looking for black streamers. I thought for sure that walmart would have them, but I was wrong. I finally found them at Hobby Lobby. I was so aggravated by then that I was just ready to get them and leave. I feel like I have been running and running all afternoon and I am ready to sit down in front of the tv, eat dinner, and crash! I hope tomorrow is much better!

We have a big plan for tomorrow and if things go as 'planned' I will have pics to share!

I have a 2007 Ford Fusion that I love! Its not my dream car, but its my favorite that I have driven so far. It will be both fun to drive and beneficial if we ever have children.

No More Cartwheels for me....

Last week I posted that I stepped wrong at work and fell. I actually said I was doing cartwheels. Now, I am so happy to say that my foot is fine and does not have any broken bones. It will heal very nicely. I had x-rays done today just to be on the safe side because it is still quite bothersome and it aches quite a bit. I am ready for it to be over with and I am tired of the burning, the aching, and the wrapping. I am ready for flip flop weather and ready to not have a bruised foot.

I have decided that I will not try cartwheels anymore in the office, instead I will find other ways to entertain my co-workers.
