Our Cruise '09

I am back and ready to relax, but unfortunately that was not an option. We got back in town late Saturday night and that left Sunday a very busy day. I am not going to tell you what has been going on lately, in fact I am going to make this about the fun time we had on our cruise. I have beautiful pics to share. I will only share a few because it takes so long to upload them and I am way to impatient for that.

This was our ship this time. We sailed on The Carnival Fascination. Although it was a beautiful ship, it wasn't nearly as nice as the last ship we took. We were told they were sister ships, but I think they must have done cut backs because the service was not up to par with the last cruise.

This is by far one of my favorite pictures. The photo does not do justice to the beauty of that water though. It was taken from our glass bottom boat tour in the Bahamas. We were on our way to a sunken ship. It was AMAZING!!

This was taken as we were leaving the harbor on the cruise ship. It was one of the best photo's we have from Key West, Fl. The water was clear and beautiful. It was unbelievably hot and I was ready for my air conditioning.

I am tired of sitting at the computer now or I would share several more. I have photo's of Atlantis resort in the Bahamas. We tried to take the picture at night when it was lit up so pretty but it was too cloudy and neither of our camera's would pick up anything but the fog.

We left Jacksonville on Monday afternoon and traveled thru the next day and arrived at Key West early in the morning on Wednesday. We were there for about 7hours and that was plenty for me. It was hot, people were everywhere and I was just ready to be in the air. The water was definitely worth the heat to see. T and I are water bugs and we enjoyed it.

We took a boat tour there and hated it. The brochure said air conditioned, but they lied. They had two vents and a billion people inside. I was really disappointed.

Thursday we were in the bahamas when we woke up. It was unreal. I could not believe how clear and blue the water was. We took a boat tour there as well, but it didn't compare to the hot mess we had in the Keys. The worst part about the day was the flea market we stopped at. I was so aggravated at the people there I could have screamed. They got up in your face to buy things. It was so bad I had to cross the street and head back to the boat because I couldn't handle it anymore. One lady came up to us and put bracelets on our arms. She said it was free for everyone but all they ask is that we make a donation for the disabled kids. I handed her a few dollars and so did my husband. She chased me sister in law thru the flea market and asked her for money and when she found out she didn't have cash with her she ripped it back off her arm and took off. Grr! I hate that stuff.

All in all we had a great vacation but it wasn't long enough. We plan to do it again, but I don't know how soon. I think this next year is going to be all about getting our own home and not about a vacation. A place of our own will be a vacation in itself!!

Life

The only excuse that I have for not blogging like I should would be life. I can't seem to get things together. I really don't know how long its been since I blogged, so lets do it the easy way and catch up bullet style.
  • Thanks to the new job, my brain is on overload. I have had to learn so many new things in the past three weeks that by the time I get home my brain crashes. This coming week I will be training at the local office. I have been at the new job for three weeks, but I have to do the formal training. I am looking forward to it. This means I will know the job that much better.
  • This past weekend my Uncle that had the heart attack came to visit along with my Aunt. It amazes me how amazing our God is. He has the power to heal and I am grateful that he did. He looks great and seems to be back to his old self. Not completely healed, but he is taking it day by day. If nothing else, seeing him alive really makes me think. They told my aunt when he was in the hospital that the chances he would come home to her the same man that left her that morning was less than 10%. In this case, I am glad they were wrong.
  • We are headed out on vacation in less than 8 days. I can't wait. I need it! We are leaving on Sunday and heading to Jacksonville. We will spend the night there and then leave on the cruise on Monday. I am so ready for some stress free fun away from home.
I don't know what else to tell you about, I am sure that I will be coming up with more to say once this is posted, just be watching for more updates when I think of them.
