A Huge Summary

I am so sorry that I made you all an empty promise. I did say that I was going to tell all about life and work and I didn't. Now, you will have that much more to read.

My Unexpected Vacation
As you know, last week I got an unplanned week off. I did not complain and it did not hurt us financially because I had that week paid for in vacation time. I decided to take that time to go visit family and take a little vacation before jumping into the unknown. Tuesday mom and I left for South Carolina and spent the next few days. We came back on Friday afternoon. I got to visit my family and catch up with cousins I hadn't seen in a long time. When I go there I feel like a kid again being around them. It was so much fun. Another great thing about being there is the food... I love love love me some southern food! Duke's BBQ is the best and we did get to eat there. I had planned to go to the beach while I was there, but didn't make it. Oh well... in 24 days I will be headed to the Bahamas.

New Job
Monday I started the new job and its really stressful. I enjoy it and I really like the idea of having a job and not worrying about the layoff. I come home every day this week and crashed because my brain was on over drive. I have been dealing with the public again and that has been hard to get use to. I haven't had a job where I had to deal with anyone other than truck drivers since I was a lot younger. I will really have to be on my best behavior.

Its finally Friday and I plan to enjoy my weekend. My sister in law and her boyfriend are probably coming up later for dinner and we will probably do something. I am enjoying life right now and again I hope nobody rains on my parade!

Absence...

does it make the heart grow fonder? I promise tomorrow I am going to sit down and tell about my vacation and my new job!

Mini- Vacation

I guess you are wondering where I have been... well.... I have been on a mini vacation to see my family in South Carolina. I had a great time and will share with all of you tomorrow. Tonight I am so very tired.

The New Job

Last Friday, my new boss called and informed me that he had dropped the ball and had not gotten all the things from me that he needed so I would not be able to start my job until the 20th. Darn! How sad that is...not!

I got up this morning and had to be there at 10 to finish the things I needed to do before being hired on Monday. (drug and alcohol test, background check, and then I had the opportunity to ask any questions that I could think of) I left there, got my nails done, met my hubby for lunch down the road, and stopped by to see the girls that I worked with at my former job. (Do you have any idea how exciting it is for me to be able to call that place my FORMER job?!?!? I love my girls, and I really liked my job but the stress and the drama of a few of the people is completely out of my life and I am super excited its over!)

I have a whole week off just to to take as me time and I am going to enjoy it. I plan to head south to visit family, and hopefully get a day of Lincoln/Em time in there too. Most likely mom and I will be leaving tomorrow and returning on Friday. My weekends are Hubby time and I will be home to see him!


As of right now, my life is great! Let's hope nothing comes along and rains on my parade.

My Lunch Date

Yesterday I had lunch with this cute little guy and his mommy, Em.

I think that he is probably the cutest lunch date I have ever had. His mommy wasn't bad company either. I am so super excited to meet his little sister.

A new start

Today was my last day with current company. I have to admit it was sad to walk out the door, but I will still talk to the girls. Dana was on vacation this week and I have talked to her daily so its not like I am leaving anyone behind just leaving a job. A few of the people I am excited to NEVER see again. I wouldn't want to work with certain ones ever again.

The new job will start on Monday and I am super excited to have a new start. I want something to challenge and enjoy.

Tomorrow and Friday I am taking off because I needed a few me days. Tomorrow I am cleaning out closets and Friday I am going to get a haircut and visit Em and baby Lincoln.

Bumper Sticker

The other day Hubby and I were driving thru town and passed by a car and the bumper sticker made us both smile and laugh.

"I wasn't born in the South, but got I here as soon as I could!"

Ah! Makes me proud! As you may know, I am so very proud to be in the south. I don't want to be any other place. Seeing this made me realize that others share in my joy.

Their house has gone to the Cats

Isn't this little guy the cutest... he lives at my parents with his three sisters and mother. None of these cats belong to my mother, but she ends up feeding them. They have taken it upon themselves to make their home right outside her front door. They are super cute, but they are not hers. My dad who is not a cat man has gotten very attached to them, which if you know him will shock you.

This little guys name is Frank. You can't tell from the picture but his eyes are blue, therefore he got the name Frank from Frank Sinatra.

One of the sisters name is Ann. She is very shy so my daddy named her Shy-Ann. Cute huh! The other two do not have names yet, but I am sure its just a matter of time.

I really wish the owner who lives next door would take care of them, but I guess they don't have to when they know my parents will. Luckily they can afford it or I would be complaining.

Life

Life has been pretty crazy for me lately. It seems that I come home and get a few things done and its time to start all over again. I really don't know why I haven't been blogging, I am not that busy that I can't take a moment to stop and blog, but I just haven't.

The new job will be with a cable company that we ourselves currently use. I will start on July 13th. I am not sure where exactly I will be right now because for the first two months it will be training. The start out pay will be right there with what I currently make and that was not a plus. However, at least I will know that my job won't be leaving in October like the current one I have.

New Job

I am happy to say that as of July 13th, I will have another job.

I am leaving the cushy job for one that I hope will challenge me. The one I currently have has become boring and repetitive, leaving me needing something else.

Wednesday will be my last day with old job and hopefully I will be able to get some things done that I had planned to do while I was laid off.
