I got this bright idea that I would make my own potato soup and instead of following the recipe I would regularly use I tried a quick and easy one. Had I read the recipe correctly, I would have realized something didn't add up.
The recipe told me to melt a stick of butter, then add a cup of flour. Stirring until it was completely smooth. Once it was smooth add 7 cups of milk a little at a time so it thickens. OMG! I just made gravy. If you have ever made homemade gravy you know that this is how you make it but not with butter. You usually use whatever grease you have left (bacon, pork, chicken..) and do it that way except you wouldn't want to use 7 cups of gravy unless your the Duggar's.
Hubby tried it and said..."
Congrats! You make the best potato gravy ever! Then he applauded me for trying'"
It was digusting! So much for taking the easy way!
