Happy Weekend

So, this was a very good weekend for the V's.  We accomplish a lot.  Not as much as originally planned, but do things usually go like they are suppose to?  They don't for us :)

Saturday we got up and took my engagement ring to the jeweler.  The prong that holds the diamond is bent for the second time. I didn't want to chance losing the diamond so I have to have it repaired for sure.  After leaving there we headed to home depot.  I was thinking of planting flowers, but decided against buying any because I am not sure what all I will need.  Hubby is still doing the layout of the landscaping and I guess I better wait to see what all we need.  After leaving Home Depot, we went to pick up rocks for the yard.  Little did we know but the tailgate on Mr. V's truck is bent and the rocks fell right thru.  All the way home we were driving so slow because rocks were going all over the cars around us.  That was a horrible ride home.   -- I did manage to buy me some pretty hanging baskets with Impatients in them.  They are hanging on my porch and they look so pretty.

Sunday was Mother's Day.  I cooked lunch for my mom and dinner for Mr. V's mom with the help of my sister in law.  We had lots of good food!

In other good news, my sister in law found out today she is having a BOY! I am so super happy for her!

Life....

I have been absent.  I haven't blogged in a really long time.  I plan to change that.  I am glad to have my blog back up and going and I plan to use it daily or semi daily if at all possible.

Since I haven't blogged in months... lets start fresh and catch you all up to date on Mr.V and I.  First off, I am going to have to think of a better name for Hubby because I am not feeling the Mr.V name.  Hmm... I thought about Mr. Fix It but that is too long, I also thought about Prince Charming but that idea didn't come from me and I am not going to use it.  He is my life, my world, and most of all he is the love of my life.  To find a name to call him that is secretive, appropriate yet super cute is hard.  I think I am going to go with ... ♥T.  Unique huh :)

Now on to sum up the happenings of our life since I last blogged...

Life.  Our life is great.  I could not ask for a better life. I finally feel like I can breathe and it feels really good.  If you have read the posts below then you know that we purchased our new home in December.  I could not be happier.  I love it.  I am so happy to have my own space again, you have no idea.  The move went super easy and super quick.  Except for the snow storm that tried to hamper us, we made great time.  The bad part about moving in December is the fact that we didn't really feel like we got to celebrate Christmas.  We didn't put up a tree and we were so stressed and rushed that we didn't take the time to breathe.  Now, I can finally take that breath.  Next Christmas is a whole other story.  I plan to finally use all the decorations that I have.  Look at blog-world, decorations will be everywhere!

Work is going good.  The only thing I don't like about it is the drive.  40 miles one way is a long drive.  A long time to be on the road and more of a chance of an accident.  Maybe one day something closer will come my way, but until then I am happy right where I am.

My family is doing good.  The uncle that had a heart attack is better.  He is back to working 3 days a week and sometimes more.  My aunt seems to notice more things daily that he is doing like his old self.  Our God, isn't he amazing.  From a man they didn't expect to live I think he is doing wonderfully.

Dieting.  Isn't that an icky word!  But come Monday of next week, I am at it again.  My BFFL (an inside joke and its pronounce Biffel) and I are going to join Curves.  I can't wait.  I really enjoyed it the few times I got to go before and I plan to enjoy it this time too.

My ♥Snow Day

Today, as mentioned yesterday, I did not go to work. I probably could have, but I wasn't about to do-over the experience of the drive home last night. I was slippy sliding all the way home and it didn't interest me for today.

My day off didn't really turn out to be a day off though. I have cleaned and cleaned and now I am tired. I think I can finally go sit down and do nothing for the rest of the evening. MAYBE Hubby and I can catch up on NCIS. We are a month behind.

Here's to...

A new start.

Hubby and I recently purchased a new home. We have owned it almost a month. Doesn't seem right, but I guess it is. I couldn't be happier. Since the purchase, life for us has been crazy. I can't believe the space and stuff that we have. I have plenty of room for my things and I don't have to cram them in places like the apartment.

This is our new pride and joy. I love love love it!! I never imagined this would be ours.
