Broken Bed

Last night, Mr. V broke our bed.  Yep, he broke it and it hit the floor.

We have had this bed since we got married.  It was something cheap that we bought because we needed a new one.  It wasn't meant to be around this long, and hubby decided he had enough.  It was popping and cracking when you got into bed and he said he was tired of it.  He ran from our bathroom and jumped right on the bed.  It hit the floor, the dog barked, and we both laughed.  Needless to say, at 11 o'clock last night we were taking apart the bed frame and putting our mattress and box springs on the floor.  It slept really good though.  We had a high bed so now we have a normal height bed.  :)

Good news for me, I will have to get a new bed soon!

8 years ago today, I married the perfect man for me.  I love him more than words can say.  As you have read before, he is the comic relief in my life and my reason for being.  I wouldn't know how to live without him.  I love him!

The Story of Us (Part 2)

I didn't hear from him or even see him for a week. I thought for sure we were done. He must not be interested, he must not like me. You know, the girl in me came out and I was questioning why why why. One Saturday morning my phone rang, and it was him. He wanted to know how I was and when we were going to go out again. I didn't even let on that it was really bugging me that he didn't call for a week, and I played it cool. I eventually agreed to go out with him again. I guess you knew that though....

Don't let me fool you, I was not in love with this guy to begin with. I didn't even like him that much. He was arrogant and cocky, and thought he was something. I don't know what changed in him, but he became a person that I could depend on and loved more than anything. He was my best friend and I knew very soon that he was the one I was meant to be with. Lucky me!

The first time that he told me he loved me was when he dropped me off at my house after one of our many dates we were sitting in the driveway in his truck. From that day on something changed in the arrogant guy. He was the sweetest most amazing boyfriend and I was head over heels for him. I remember the feelings I had when he told me he loved me. I was over the moon!

Stay tuned tomorrow for The Proposal....

7 years ago today....

I married my best friend. The man who makes me laugh, the one who I adore, and the one who makes the bigger mess. Since its our anniversary, and I saw E do this, I thought I would tell you the story of us. From the first date until we were married.

How we met...

I met him thru a mutual friend. I was single. I had been in a relationship all through high school and I don't remember if I was really looking for a relationship when we were set up. I was given his phone number and told if I was interested to call him. The first phone call was interesting to say the least. You know the small talk stuff. Finally we decided that we would meet up where I worked and talk. It was POURING down rain when he arrived there at the time I got off. Neither of us wanted to get wet so he decided he would follow me home to my parents house. They were/are pretty strict where I am concerned so my mom made me sit on the couch downstairs and talk. It was really hard to get to know him so we didn't talk that much that night.

Our first date was with friends to TGI Friday's. I knew it was going to be love from the moment he rolled up his sleeves and dug into the bbq ribs. I knew he would fit in just fine with my family. My friends adored him and so did I. Unfortunately, we hit a snag that next week and he decided that he wasn't going to call me. I was the girl in the relationship and I was not about to call him.

Stay tuned for the rest......

Valentine's Date

Last night, Hubby and I along with my sister in law A and her boyfriend J, my mother in law and father in law, and Hubby's Aunt and Uncle went to the church they attend for dinner and a movie.

The dinner was really good. It was catered by a local lady and she had her friends to help. We had tenderloin, green beans, mashed potatoes, and cole slaw. It was very tasty and they gave us plenty. Dessert was red velvet cake.

The movie was Fireproof. It was so very good! The message that the movie sends is great and I recommend that all married couples watch this one together! It will really make you think!

Before we left, they gave us all copies of the book 'The Love Dare' that the movie is about to take home with us. Hubby and I plan to read it together. I think it will be good for us.
